He holds a BSc (Hons) in Ergonomics and Human Factors from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Member of the CIEHF (C.ErgHF, MIEHF). He has completed Bond Solon and Cardiff University civil expert witness training, providing independent ergonomics and human factors opinion in personal injury and workplace claims under CPR Part 35.

Stephen’s consultancy work includes ergonomics risk assessment programmes, manual handling and upper limb risk reduction, digital human modelling, design ethnography and contextual enquiry, usability testing, workload and fatigue assessment, and safety critical task analysis. He delivers CIEHF approved training, including the Ergonomics Champion Course for manufacturing and Manual Handling Train the Trainer, always at the client’s own site so the training is based on the tasks employees actually perform.
